Storage FAQ
Common questions about object storage (S3-compatible) and NFS block storage on NeoCloud.
S3 Object Storage
I want to use S3 with presigned URLs for file access or downloads. Is that supported?
Not supported in the current infrastructure.
I want to store user assets on S3 with encryption at rest. Is that available?
Yes. S3 storage is available for asset storage.
Is my S3 data encrypted at rest?
Yes. NetApp supports NVE (XTS-AES-257) for block storage encryption.
Can I bring my own encryption key for S3?
Not supported in the current infrastructure.
I want to set bucket policies and access controls. Is that available?
NetApp supports bucket policies, but they are not directly exposed to users. Bucket management is handled via Terraform by the Cloud Services team.
Does S3 support object versioning?
Yes. Object versioning is verified working and can be enabled via CLI or S3 API.
I need immutable storage (WORM). Is Write-Once-Read-Many supported?
NetApp supports S3 Object Lock. This can be enabled if needed, in coordination with the customer.
What is the SLA for S3 availability and durability?
Not supported in the current infrastructure.
NFS Block Storage
Can I choose which NFS protocol version to use?
Not supported in the current infrastructure, but if needed by the customer we can work on it.
What IOPS/throughput does storage provide?
All storage is on the Extreme tier: 50,000 IOPS / 1.53 GB/s per volume.
